Headmaster’s Newsletter – 13 October 2017

Dear Parents,

There is only a week to go until Half Term and we have now had the last of this year’s eight Parent and Tutor Social Evenings. It was a pleasure to meet so many of you, to hear how your children have settled into the new year and enjoying life. After Half Term Founders’ Hall will be filled with music and drama as this year’s showcases get under way.

Thank you to all of those who donated to the Harvest collection on Thursday for The Upper Room. Their van was completely filled and they were most grateful for all that was given. Thank you for your generosity.

The Lower School and Middle School Athletics Day on Thursday was a great success and I understand the results were very close. These will be announced in the first Assembly after Half Term. Thank you to the House Captains for their help during the event and particularly to Miss Meghan Clarke for organising the day.

The Main School Book Fair has started today and continues next week. A reminder that the maximum pupils should bring in to buy books is £25.

Next week Small School will be visiting the Chelsea Fire Station and Upper Senior School will be visiting the Holland Park Ecology Centre. There are a number of sports fixtures and a reminder that the second Parents’ Evening for Upper Senior School is on Thursday in Founders’ Hall.

After Half Term we move to winter uniform. Billings & Edmonds will be setting up their pop-up shop in Founders’ Hall tomorrow, Saturday 14 October, 10.30am to 2.00pm. All items of uniform and sports kit will be available. Please see the poster below for further details.

Best wishes,

Richard Townend
