As we approach the final week of term the diary is full of special events both in and out of school. Earlier today Middle School gave two performances of their Christmas Play, The Christmas Jigsaw. These performances get better and better year on year. Thank you to all those who have put so much effort into making the productions such a success.
Today is the final week of Friday Clubs. There are no clubs on the final day of term. Renewal forms will be sent out next week.
There are several events for your diary next week. Our Brass Ensemble will be playing carols in Peter Jones on Monday between 5pm and 6pm. If you go to the escalators and start upwards you won’t fail to miss them. They will be raising money for the St. Nicholas Fund at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. As we are not allowed to collect in Peter Jones the children are being sponsored. If you would like to make a donation please either sponsor one of our brass players or leave a donation in the front office.
Small School will be performing their Christmas Show, The Wriggly Nativity, on Tuesday and Wednesday in Flood Street. Details of these shows have been sent separately.
Wednesday is our final Assembly of term where we will be awarding Sports Full and Half Colours. You are most welcome to Assembly any week of the year.
The Choral Scholars will be performing a Christmas Concert on Thursday at St Margaret Lothbury. The concert begins at 1.10pm and will last for approximately forty-five minutes. This concert is part of the regular lunchtime series and open to all. Entrance is free with a retiring collection. St. Margaret Lothbury is a beautiful Wren church situated directly behind the Bank of England.
The final individual music lessons of term are on Thursday.
Term ends on Friday with the School Carol Service in St. Columba’s at 11.00am. This is for the whole school except Small School and Lower School. Please do join us for this special event of music and readings. All children from Middle School upwards are to be collected from St. Columba’s after the service. A letter will be sent out early next week with details of collection points.
Small School will have their own programme on the last day of term and will leave as normal from Flood Street. Lower School will be performing their Christmas Play at Founders’ Hall. A letter with details of this was sent out yesterday.

In what has become a strong tradition over the last few years, the school Brass Ensemble will be joined by past pupils and will be playing before and after the service. They will be playing in the street from 12.45, the service begins at 1.00pm and lasts for half an hour. This is followed by mulled wine and mince pies while the children play some more pieces.
