On Wednesday this week we were delighted to host an evening in Founders’ Hall for the St Nicholas Fund of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Catherine Perruset astounded the audience with her superb harp playing and Pascal Bachmann gave a magnificent piano recital which he followed by playing a violin solo accompanied by his mother. We thank them for their contribution to such a successful evening and many thanks to the parents who supported the event which raised much needed funds for the children’s ward at the hospital.
This coming week will see the final Parents and Tutors Social Evening on Monday for the Sixth Form and the first of the Parents’ Evenings for discussion of pupils’ progress – on Wednesday for Upper Transitus and on Thursday for Upper Senior School (specific details have been sent separately to parents of this week’s classes).
Our sports teams also have another busy schedule of fixtures in the coming week, including our top runners who will be competing in the London Mini Marathon Trials on Tuesday – a competition in which our children have been very successful in recent years.
On Wednesday the Choral Scholars will be singing a Choral Evensong at the invitation of the Master and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Parish Clerks at St Mary Woolnoth in the City, by the Bank of England. If you work in the City do come to hear them. You will be most welcome.
On Thursday the second of the Geography courses will leave for Glion to work on their Common Entrance Geography projects. After Half Term there will be two Music and Drama courses in Glion and the annual Choral Scholars Advent tour at the end of the month.
All best wishes,
