Upper School

Ages 7–9

Upper School, in Cadogan Gardens, sees the expansion of the curriculum to include an enormous range of sporting opportunities coached by specialist sports tutors, the possibility of learning any instrument of the orchestra, tremendous artistic activity and much more. Here pupils will discover their particular strengths and enthusiasms and be able to expand their skills and develop their love of learning. Reading is an integral part of Hill House life. Upper School has its own dedicated library in the heart of the building, which is available at all times to the pupils.

In order to encourage more independence and more critical thinking in this age group, the children are subject taught and move to specialist teachers for each subject. This ensures there is variety in teaching styles and environment to encourage individual development within a class peer group.

Each day in Upper School is interwoven with a variety of games, music, drama and art lessons to further stimulate interests and activities that are not just desk bound.
