When to join the school

The main point of entry to the school is at four years old, however children can join the school at any stage subject to places being available.

Welcome

Hill House is a remarkable school and we look forward to meeting you soon.

Our admissions process begins with a visit to the school. This is essential so you can get good feel for the ethos and the atmosphere of the school before you go any further in the process.

Once you have toured the school and are happy to proceed with Registration we will then meet every applicant in person. For children applying for Reception or Year 1, we invite them for a Getting to Know You session. Older children will be invited for an academic and pastoral assessment. We want to be sure that every child who joins Hill House will thrive in our environment. Above all we are looking for children who want to try something new, give it a go and will be able to make the most of all the opportunities we offer at Hill House.

Successful applicants will be invited to a range of familiarisation events so that joining us for their first day at school is a very natural and positive experience.

September is the usual point of entry. However, we appreciate that personal circumstances can  change and families may relocate at any time of the year. We are happy to consider applications for occasional places throughout the year should space be available.

We are here to help every family, so please don't hesitate to get in touch. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Hill House.

Register your child

It is possible to register your interest in a place at Hill House at any time by completing our Pre-registration form. You will then receive an email with a link to book a tour of the school.

If you have any questions about the registration process please contact the Registrar.

Visit us

Rather than an impersonal Open Day we invite small groups of up to five families to tour the school every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 9.30am and Friday at 9am during term time. You will be welcomed by a member of the Townend family, visit our various buildings in Chelsea and naturally have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Once you have completed our Pre-registration form you will receive an email with a link to book a tour.

If you have questions about admissions and the admissions process please contact the Admissions Office either by telephone +44 (0)20 7584 1331 or by using the form below. We look forward to meeting you.

Entry

The usual point of entry to our school is Reception at 4 years old, but we will always try to accommodate entry into other year groups where possible.

New pupils joining after Reception will normally join us at the beginning of a school term, in September, January or April. However, we will accept applicants at other times in the school year depending on family circumstances.
