Dear Parent,

World Book Day was embraced with great enthusiasm throughout the school. Pupils and staff alike came to school in some fabulous costumes and the day was filled with all sorts of events. In the lead up to World Book Day it was a great pleasure to welcome back Molly Arbuthnot to Cadogan Gardens. Molly used to be a teacher in Middle School before she left to devote all of her time to being an author. She has now written eight books. Her stories are based around a cat named Oscar and his adventures with his friends. Molly read Oscar the Ferry Cat and Oscar the London Cat with five lucky children winning t-shirts printed with characters from her stories. Here is a selection of some of the costumes from World Book Day. Many more are available on Instagram.

It was a very good to be able to welcome parents back to Assembly this week after such a long time. This coming week Middle School will be performing in Assembly. They will be giving us a range of dramatic scenes and readings connected to The Great Fire of London.  We will also be giving out more swimming awards to Small, Lower and Middle School in addition to some ‘cello music. As we begin to welcome parents back to Assembly we are still mindful of safety surrounding Covid. To this end we will be restricting places at Assembly solely to parents of pupils either performing or receiving an award and only one parent per family. Please follow directions to your seat.
